Canoe Trip Gear

Hi everyone! We spent the long weekend in the Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Provincial Park! We are going to have lots of photos and videos in the upcoming posts but in the meantime here is a video of the gear that André and I take on our canoe trips. If you have any questions, comments, tips or tricks let us know, we’d love to here from you!

Happy Paddling!

  1. This is a great video for people like myself who are just starting to canoe/camp. Last trip we certainly learned how important it is to try to keep your packs as light as possible and getting the right gear can really make a difference. Thanks for taking time to share your knowledge and experience.

    • Thanks for the comment George. I’m glad we could help and it’s great to hear about newcomers to the world of canoe tripping. If you visit our blog again, you’ll see that Michelle will be posting our equipment checklist soon, so stay tuned for that. Good luck on all your adventures and happy paddling!

  2. This is a fantastic video! My husband and I are getting ready to do our first canoe camping trip, so all of your tips are going to be really helpful. Thanks for taking the time to share.

  3. Thanks Amy! We’re glad we could help. When we first started planning for canoe trips and backpacking we found it very useful to see what other people take to give us an idea of what we would need. Now that we have had time to accumulate our equipment, we’d like to pay it forward and share the same kind of information. Great Photography Blog by the way, others should check it out at belalumo.wordpress.com
